This is great news! It will be interesting to see how distribution is handled -- is this an Onell release or something through whatever Gary's company is? And will they actually be releasing all of the characters?

The "Three Weeks" comment would theoretically put it smack dab in the middle of SDCC, from which I would likely be flying home when it launches. Now I'm nervous.

Saw info here:

"I promise to wait until after SDCC to drop the first of my 2016 bombshells. What you all will see is the most ambitious undertaking the OSM has ever had. Be patient, save your money and fasten your seatbelt. 2016 will be one hell of a ride."

From Instagram via Twitter 08/02/16:

<snip>
"The official 2016 season kicks off in 2 weeks with a massive drop in the OSM website store. I will be making a huge announcement on Friday as well as to a giant OSM event in September prior to booth 440 at the NYCC."

(unreleased Astrodite the Woman from Venus shown so far)

Three new figures were announced on Instagram: GITD Gamma X, NYCC exclusive GITD Colossus Rex, and Infinity Colossus Rex 2.0. That last one will apparently go up on the OSM store in two weeks.

Definitely want that Rex 2.0!

I've missed out on OSM. I'm gonna have to snag some, even better if I can get some glow! I'm a sucker for the glow.

I asked around (because of course I did) for more details - http://outerspacemennews.blogspot.com/2 ... 3-new.html

Bagged figures are $25, carded will be $30.

And just like that, I'm back in. The Metaluna Orbitron really reeled me back in. I had forgotten just how fun the OSM were. I missed them. I'm back in. I'm a completist and have 100% released. Why stop now?

Convention exclusives -- urk. Exclusives chased me away from both the Four Horsemen Glyos lines, I hope Gary doesn't make a habit of this.

Given NYCC's history on selling through OSM figures, I'd agree. Unless the runs are shorter (given the prices... it's possible) but I genuinely don't know what the reaction will be for OSM at a Star Trek show. My big fear is too much stuff merging with inflation. From 2010-2013 we usually had about 16 (or so) per year, although things got a little crazy in 2013. So far for 2016, we've seen Diversus Orbitron, 2 Colossus Rex, 1 Gamma X, and mock-ups for 8 glow figures plus a teaser for Astrodite. Given inflation, 12 figures (or more) is a pretty intensive Q3/Q4.

...that we know of.

i was too broke for them a few years back so i only have 7 different sculpts and orbitron is the only one i have 2 different versions of. i had an original astro nautilus when i was young and it lost its head fairly quickly. i was super hard on bendy figures, i always snapped the wires, broke the wires thru the rubber and lost limbs. not intentionally, just being a typical retarded kid. lol .

i was think about this from the june 11th Glyos blogpost...
"Expect to see some more Special Edition OSM as 2016 rolls along."
http://onelldesign.blogspot.com/2016/06/thank-you.html

at the time this was posted i took it as more OSM / Glyos crossovers. i wonder if what Matt was talking about is the Colossus Rex 2.0 and the GITD ones or if there may still be more crossovers to come later in the year. i'd love to see an alpha 7 crossover.
