Looks like Matt and Co might have broke PayPal again. I don't think the stock numbers were updating with no low stock or sell outs in the first 30 min, hence the store closing.

Good work!

I see the store is temporarily closed. My paypal was spinning for a good minute longer than usual before my order went through. Last time that happened for me was when the Redlaw Phanost drop had issues.

I had to refresh paypal, but the charge did go. I was getting a tad panicked there for a second when I thought trouble was starting.

Same happened to me, had a bit of a freak out then it said, payment had already been processed. Whew!

Good work!

You have to figure a couple of those figures would have gone quickly. Hopefully we don't see the usual public rage on the blog and forum from anyone that might not have secured all the figures they ordered.

I never refreshed. I just let it spin for awhile and it eventually went through, but it was a good minute longer than usual. That was a long minute when I was already thinking I might have taken too long to decide what to order.

I had some problems checking out too. I was also getting worried when it was loading for longer than usual.

Heh, I'm not too worried, but I was surprised that the store opened 5 minutes early and paypal was already having issues. Maybe the fan base is growing larger than we know?

I got the exact same message, but i did get a paypal receipt. Im guessing that's the reason the store is closed.

The store will remain closed for the time being.
Thank you guys for such a strong response,
sorry for the inconvenience!"

Don't get me started. That's another toyline that I haven't been able to keep up with anymore.

Even using my ever trusty iPhone, the store shit the bed. I don't think anything went through. Umm darn.

Do you think they should do a pre-order drop to actually gauge customer numbers?

Yeah, mine lagged trying to go through PP checkout until I gave up. At first I thought it was my connection.

I think everything had gone haywire as soon as the store opened, even 20 minutes after the drop nothing had sold out and nothing was showing low stock. I guess that probably means that they've oversold on nearly everything.

I feel sorry for Matt and the gang - I hope it's not too stressful trying to fix everything.

Pretty sure some orders got through, mine went all the way through without issue, didn't notice anything wrong but I usually jump very fast on drop night. No telling what sold out until they get the shop fixed, though knowing how Paypal has exploded on Matt in the past, I'd expect a few sell outs once the dust settles.

A preorder would probably kill the mystery that we're used to on drop nights. And in order to make everyone happy, you'd probably have to switch to preorders for every drop.

I'm old fashioned and still like the "smash and grab" of a drop night. I know it's getting worse for some now that we have no details, but it makes Glyos more interesting, to me at least.

I don't know what the balance is between satisfying the amount to sell versus keeping the fun and mystery going.

Even when it doesn't work out for me, I still prefer the atmosphere of a drop night...seems to get us all talking, predicting, and participating in a 'tradition' that is meaningful, part of the excitement. I could however use the heck out of a pre-order combination on certain colorways that lend themselves to army building. Perhaps on certain figures, planned ahead but still with surprises on the actual drop? Agreed its a balance, no real answer, just some thoughts...still loving it!
