Say, Nemo, why isn't the first release in the store anymore? I'm not too worried about it, as I can't really afford to grab another one, but I figure somebody might want to go all in if they missed it before.

Also, is the comic a full 24 pages of comic art, or is some of it text stories with illustrations? I assume the former, based on the description, but I wanted to make sure.

The latest AV Robot release has me revisiting building with the original again. This guy is contained with two Phase Arm sets and two Axis Joint sets.

I went back and added 2 more each of Phase Arm sets and Axis Joints to build up this monstrosity. I even have an AV Robot in there for scale. I do hope we get some more deluxe painted figures down the road. The original figure just "pops" so well with all those great paint apps...

Those are great Mech! I am really loving this fig, I haven't put it down since getting it. There is so much going on in the sculpt, so much that it worried me before buying it. One of the things that I like about Glyos is the sculpting...it's different from most anything else I've collected. Most sculpts are very "soft" and rounded. Do you know what I mean? There aren't a lot of jagged edges, everything is very smooth. Kent's stuff is blocky and TGB's stuff has some sharp edges, but nothing "messy" like this guy...AND I DO NOT mean MESSY in a bad way at all! I love the sculpt, I just wasn't sure how it would fit with rest of my Glyos. But, in the end it doesn't matter, it's too much of a cool toy.

Thanks!

I totally get what you're saying on the sculpting. Robo Force, Banimon and Weaponeers of Monkaa have that mutual blocky, technical edge to them. Very machine Sci-fi, which I totally dig. Glyos, Callgrim, NiStuff, TGB have a nice organic/bio-mechanical slant to the designs, which I dig as well.

There's enough chaos with the AV Robot sculpt to be a contained action figure like LRB, MWotR, Skeleton Warriors, Power Lords, etc, or to be used to build like those very symmetrical figures in the previous paragraph.

All of those sculpted pistons, edges, cables, and those sweet kicks really set this figure apart, which is pretty amazing given the amount of great figures the Glyos family already has.

Dude. Dude. That's freggin' nuts. The color blocking is tops.

Also, you may have inspired me to try out a few things, too:

But wait. Hold up. Something else slipped into my package:

What. This thing is insane with detail lines, like it's surging with power.

But wait. There's more:

Image

That's right. A freggin' robot statue. All it needs is a pigeon to perch on its shoulder. Nemo, if this is what can be done, well...worth it, dude. Worth it.

Thanks man!

The head design on this guy is great and I like how well the hub set and phaseon pieces mesh with the AV Robot.

Holy shit Kranix, were those really two different figs thrown in? I'd kill for a detail lined robot!

Posted more in the customs thread, but just finished up something I call the DRT A/V Robot. Fully line detailed in black with some rusty deco.
