Hey guys I had the privilege of making it to d-con this year and it was pretty overwhelming. This was my first time at a convention this big, and my wallet certainly was not ready. I was so overwhelmed and awe struck that I didn't take nearly enough pics or introduce myself to enough people that I admire as id planned to... I am pretty shy and introverted in person but I did meet and talk to a few great people.
I met Pj of Spaced Out Design who was so nice and his new 3D printed glyos compatible figures were so awesome I had to buy one. The piece of paper is a blueprint that shows how the figure is constructed.

I mentioned that the figure reminded me of Vivi from FF9 and he said that he was a huge inspiration for the figure and generously threw in a free Vivi inspired head for free! I love this toy. Thanks man!
Didn't go too crazy at the Onell booth I was hoping to pick up some of the newest exile Nobotos but they were all sold out and didn't even make it to the show.
There was some cool new Roboforce colorways and some new exciting Callgrim stuff... Especially if you like Star Wars. There was even a couple new Stryker Locke colorways on display.
I managed to pick up a deniken Noboto that I had skipped before and grabbed a rise of the beasts figure. Which I had passed on before until seeing it up close.
It really feels battle beasty and is just a great little toy.
I met Marc Beaudette and Nemo who were both really cool I wish I could have stayed and chatted longer but there was just so much to see, and I only had a few hours to do it all. My main mission was to meet Matt Doughty but he was off buying toys somewhere according to Marc. I also wasn't able to find Marty unfortunately. I saw George but didn't recognize him at first and when I finally did I had to go. I snapped a quick pic of Dagger my favorite figure from the SW's original maquette.
I also saw the Mecha Zone booth and talked with David White for a bit. His 3D printed figures are incredible. I wish I could have got some but in the future I will for sure. He gave me his Mechanaut booklet which is really well done and he put a lot of work into this line.
As far as sofubi goes it was insane so many insane toys I never thought I'd see or hold in person. I got just a couple pics from the Paul Kaiju/Spluurt table
I wanted these toys... Bad.
I was able to pick up a couple incredibly sculpted BC Blasters by James Groman which were so cool I wish I could bought the whole set. I got my two favorites.
I told my girlfriend to keep an eye out for a tall dude with a big beard and wouldn't you know it after I picked these up she nudged me and pointed behind me and there was Matt with Jesse standing right near me!
I was starstruck but did introduced myself and its all true he was such a genuine awesome guy. He saw a friend he hadn't seen in a long time and went to go say hi and I felt awkward about lingering around so I left and he tracked me down from the other end of the building just to say sorry and to keep talking.
Such an awesome experience to meet someone you admire and I wont soon forget it.
Sorry for the novel and that I didn't get more pics from the booths. Just wanted to share my experience. If you get the chance I highly recommend going its crazy how much talent and creativity can be found in on place.
I melded this trip in with a trip to Disneyland and picked up a few things there as well but I feel this post has gone on long enough
