Saw this on the KOTS Facebook group: There's a Knights of the Slice exhibition currently going on at the Clutter Gallery in New York, and among the items on display are a new line of 4" Glyos compatible action figures based on the Fallout games. It's being made by Just Toys International, appears to be a GameStop exclusive line retailing for $10 per figure, and is up for preorder now:

T-45 Power Armor
T-51 Power Armor
T-60 Power Armor
X-01 Power Armor

Here's an unboxing of the T-51:

Well, dang. Does anyone have better pictures of the box? I'm curious to see if there's any acknowledgement of the connection system and compatibility with Glyos lines...

Jesse posted this on the Facebook group. If the Fallout figures sell well, they're hoping to grow the "Mega Merge" line to cover additional video game licenses.

TheGodBeast tells me that, yes, these figures are a legitimate Onell collaboration. So it's okay to buy as many as you want! :)

At 4 inches, I am curious to see how well these mesh with Glyans, or if they only work with KotS.

[edit]: Oh, and there's a capture of the box back, which I hadn't seen. Clearly a Glyos cousin.

These were actually sneak peeked to us at Dcon this past year by Jesse. Very cool figures in hand, I didn't want to really play with it as it was considered "Top Secret" pending the release info.

I'm looking forward to actually being able to play and build with these when I can get my hands on them.

=)

I can’t beleive this is real?! Preordered!!!

Seems a major lost opportunity to limit the swapable parts count. One peg at the hip just doesn’t leave a lot for build potential. I’m diggin the design and sculpts, but would like to see a leg that you could articulate at the knee and ankle.

Am I the only one?

The knee would have been nice but I wonder how much stability becomes an issue as the size of the figure increases...

The leg is all one piece but the shoulder pads are separate? O_o

All an elaborate plan to give your Robots Bitfig shoulder pads!

Not sure that the height would really affect stability. Both OSM and Skeleton Warriors were 4” or over and the Villser is nearly 4” they don’t seem to have that hard a time standing. Besides those are some chunky legs. You think with just two more points of articulation (knee and foot) that wouldn’t really affect the overall balance.

Just seems lazy to not add articulation on the legs past the hip. I’m very interested. But if this is a pre-order to see if we are interested in sinking more of our expendable income into another line. If I’m unhappy with the basic design, I think it should be known that as glyos fan I expect build potential and swappability to be a first priority. They look like statues as it stands right now. And I’m curious if they would even look any different than the KOTS I their ability to be posed. It’s a very retro look with limited poseability.

I’m by no means expecting Marvel legends levels of articulation. But would like to give my Villser some leg armor and still have a Villser part or two to mix.

Agreed. I was totally on board untill i saw the part breakdown. May get 1 or 2 (i think they'll be a great place for extra zullen heads.)

Curious if there is a port on the feet bottoms.

I'm not sure the head even uses the glyos peg, looks like it's on a ball joint like the KOTS and Skeleton warriors :spcry:

I'm in for a couple as well, but we actually have a game stop here in Fargo, so I'll probably wait and see if I can get them in store.

Not sure if you know but the neck stems on the SW & KOTS have a Glyos port at the base of the neck. That said, I don't know if these will be the same since the figure breakdown on the box art doesn't show that. Won't know for sure until we can have one in hand. I'll get one for starters to get a feel for it but like most of the 'sister' lines I get at minimum one to try it out.

Very cool that it ships with Swing joints, the little tutorial is fun to see how it builds with the KOTS, but the heads aren't compatible?!?

Damn that suck, hopefully with the enthusiasm shown for the pre-order, there will be some improvements that allow for more swappable figures. Purchased! I'm a sucker for swing joints right now!

Also just checked my account, looks like the pre-orders are being charged today! Wonder when we'll get these in the mail?!?

Really easy to pick up at the store. Apparently they were having a conversation on what to do with them at the checkout counter when I walked in and grabbed a set of four.

"That was fast." was the first comment one made to the other.

Diggin these new Fallout glyos. At first the aesthetic didn’t really thrill me, but this armor reminds me of Doctor Doom so much, gotta love it!

ImageImageImage

Only downsides? The right joint that attaches the arm to the torso is really loose. The axis joint keeps popping out. I’ve tried heating it up and squashing the peg to expand it. But so far I’ve had no success. Anyone else having similar issue with the T-51 Armor?

For now I used a thin slice of the same tubing I used (recycled windshield wiper tubing) and fit around the peg then pushed it in, it's seated a little better, but I'll have to avoid too much movement.

I Also wish that the T-60 Armor had Knee joints, odd that they'd keep that out for 1 of 4 figures, seems kind of lazy to me.

Both the T-51 and the T-45 are actually Gray plastic that have been painted Silver. The paint application is very rough, large areas of the knee on the upper and lower leg parts are completely unpainted on my T-51. I suppose they were saving money by using one base plastic for molding, then adding the spray finish to the plastic. This really makes me appreciate the TRUE Glyos companies that use different colored plastic for figures, having paint all over your joints end's up making them look sloppy if the application isn't perfect.

Overall though these are really cool figures, and a welcome addition to the Glyos of system, can't wait to see what other figures we get.

Damn, that Vector Armor really does blend well with the Fallout figures, kicking myself for not picking up the Task Force Volkriun Vector last drop.

Looks like another wave of figures is coming:
Interestingly, only the female Vault Dweller and Nuka-Cola T-51 are identified as GameStop exclusives, suggesting that the line is going to start being sold at other stores. Personally not sure about the execution on the non-armored characters: that paint on the male Dweller isn't super great, and the lack of articulation is less forgivable for characters that aren't inside a bulky mechanical suit.

Hope they do more characters for series 3. The male vault dweller looks like a kots figure, should be fun to part swap.
