My name is GBPackRat. I'm an avid vintage toy collector (being a kid from the 80's) and a friend introduced me to Glyos figures a couple weeks ago. I bought a couple of his extras, traded for some of his extras, he's hold some extras as I slowly buy more of the older figures off him and I just picked up 3 figures from the most recent drop earlier this week at Onell Design. I've been reviewing a lot of the older Onell Menu Drops from over at the Glyos News Dump and am kicking myself for not getting into Glyos sooner. I feel like I've missed a lot of great figures over the last few years. I've looked at ebay to see what's out there and its not much (at pretty high prices). I'm hoping I can forge some friendships here at the forum and maybe buy/trade for some of your extra figures from older drops. My current interests seem to be in the Onell Designs and NiStuff (even thou his site is currently down). I think my favorite mold specifically might be Skeleden, but I also like the Phayden mold (and various Traveller stuff) in general along with Argen and Buildman molds. I'm a sucker for the translucent stuff and I'm hoping to get some GITD stuff at some point.

Oh and I live in the midwest, I've been told there's a pretty good following out here.

Welcome, GB! It's true that we do have a lot of Midwesterners here, and C2E2 has been a bit of a gathering spot in years past.

If you're looking for any particular figures, I'd suggest making a "WTB" post over in the Metran Marketplace and scope out the more recent threads.

Good luck, and glad to have you aboard!

Welcome to the glyos addiction! Ebay is pretty hit or miss, and you'll also start to see the same few sellers posting things for very high prices, while a lot of others are happy to just get enough to pay them back for the item plus shipping.

There's one seller on ebay, I don't remember the name off the top of my head, but they've been posting and reposting glyos figures for like $80 each for at least the last five years. The same items...over and over and over again.
Haha, so you'll learn to ignore certain sellers, and just because some items have high asking prices doesn't mean they ever sell for that.

The best place to get stuff is probably here and on facebook (The Glyan Exchange). It's probably worth checking out littlerubberguys.com too, I've found a few figures over there.
