Hey everybody!

While waiting on the stages of my latest project to be finished, I began collecting toys more. While doing so I discovered tons of toy lines from the 70's, 80's 90's & newer that were really cool and no one really talks about them. Google searches returned limited photographs & virtually no videos of these toys and the videos that did turn up were short and un-informative. People, toy collectors need to know about these forgotten toy lines, the fact that most people have no clue that Army Ants, Battle Trolls, Lil' Loggers, Smooshees, Boglins, RoGun & other odd ball lines ever existed is a shame. Tons of time, work and craftsmanship went into these lines of our childhoods and they are just as relevant today as the big names like G.I. Joe, Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and My Little Pony are.

So, with my wife's help we started up The Obscura Toy Files a blog and YouTube channel where written reviews, photographs & videos of these forgotten toys can get a little time in the spot light.

Right now, our schedule is to have a new review up every Wednesday with an accompanying video debuting at the same time. This way, you can see what the toy looks like in action (as still pictures only tell us so much) and also read a bit more about the toys then what was revealed in video.

Head on over now to the blog to read 2 reviews, one for 1983's Lil' Loggers Ranger Rob & Chops the Beaver review and our new review for this week: 1988's Smooshees Smugglers Scooter Pup.

And if you want to just shoot right to the videos first, click this link:

The sites are still in varying degrees of construction, but even bare-boned we try to chock each review with as much content as possible, sort of making up for what we lack and shnazziness and production values.

Take care guys & make sure to like & subscribe to keep up to date on all our obscure, unique and unlicensed toy coverage! :D

That is a cool blog!! Hope to see more cool stuff!

Also, wow I remember Smooshees. My cousin had a million of those things. My feelings on the toy can be found at the 10:32 mark of the below video:

Thanks guys, just posted up a new video & written review today: Entertech & LJN Toy's Spit Balls toy line! These were basically golf-ball sized balls in the shape of different animals, objects, people & creatures that could squirt water. Fun line, short-lived AND even had The Real Ghostbusters, Nightmare on Elm Street & Friday the 13th for licensed properties. I cover the regular line of 12 Non-Horror or Ghostbuster themed Spit Balls, go check it out!
