I always wanted to get into the series and last month my work got in a set of Otsu Series 1. I was able to pick the Motorcycle, Green Visor, and with luck Green Twin Cannon.

Really loving the aesthetic of these little guys. I got all of Otsu series 1 from Amiami, with Otsu 2 coming in the mail right now. I also picked up a couple of series 4 while in Japan, got two Hachimaru and a Inoue.

Connectors aren't the most secure and they don't hold their weapons that well but they still tickle my fancy design wise!

Love the look of these little guys, though I'm starting to drift away with the Otsu series -- not because of the designs, which are only getting better, but because I really wish these came out at a slightly larger scale with more articulation.

Then again, with the hand from Otsu 2, and the head from Otsu 3, I kinda hope the series builds up to a gestalt of some kind...

Guys, What material are these made of? Hard plastic? Soft pvc? I can't tell from the photos.

They're a softer plastic, one that allows some give for the hands to hold weapons (albeit sometimes very loosely). The clear weapons, however, are hard plastic with no bend or give whatsoever.

Also, it looks like the next wave of these might be . . . trading cards? Wonder if the toys are on the outs, or if they're just taking a break.
