Hey guys!
I was recently asked to help beta test the JazWings crowd funding site by contibuting my Lucha Sharks concept, and, the next thing I knew, I was actually participating in the campaign! In any case, my project is at a stage right now where it just needs people to head over to the site and give my concept a positive 5 star rating, so that it moves on to the next phase. So there's no real cost to any of you, but it does mean I have to go around and ask people to help me out by voting.
If you can possibly head over to JazWings and give me a 5 star vote, I would sincerely, sincerely appreciate it!

Here's the gist of my concept:
The Concept:
Lucha Sharks is a line of 5.5" vinyl action figures done in the same shape/size of vintage Masters of the Universe, as well as a possible entertainment franchise, including animation and comic books. The intention is to recall the heyday of great 80's and 90's properties, appealing to nostalgic 20 and 30 somethings, designer toy collectors, action figure collectors, and children of the current era. The primary focus is on 3 anthropomorphic shark wrestlers, their opponents, and the other evil doers that they encounter on a regular basis.

The Story:
The Lucha Sharks are three humanoid shark luchadors who entertain the crowds of the X-544 hive world by wrestling in the fighting arenas against a rogues gallery of bizarre opponents. X-544 is a sprawling, futuristic world of space age city built atop of space age city that is filled with corruption and crime. The plots/play patterns not only should revolve around actual wrestling action in the arenas, but also around the Lucha Sharks solving mysteries and generally stopping bad guys from doing their thing around X-544.

The Characters:

El Tiburon is the charismatic and quick witted leader of The Lucha Sharks. He loves hot wings and hates losing.

Rudo Rey Mar is the bad boy of The Lucha Sharks. He has attitude for days and the skills in the arena to back it up.

Fintastico is the mystical Lucha Shark with mysteriously magical mental powers. He can connect with other dimensions as easily as his knuckles can connect with your face.

Fugg the Slayer is a brutally barbaric evil Orc warlord who was taken from him home planet of Orkamania and brought to fight in the arenas of X-544. As flamboyant as he is destructive, Fugg is now the holder of the X-544 championship belt, as well as a sweet pair of brass knuckles that say "FUGG" and "LIFE".

Hammertime is an evil hammerhead shark fighter. Who is he? Is he related to the Lucha Sharks? Does finding Out more about him shed any more light on the origins of The Lucha Sharks?

Sluggo is a humanoid sumo slug. Hulking. Slow. Deadly. Hungry. Sluggo certainly has a taste for seafood. Could a Lucha Shark be his next meal?

Figure Execution:
The figures could be engineered in such a way that the Lucha sharks are all the same mold/sculpt, but done in different colorways. This, of course, leaves the door open for future Lucha Shark colorways/characters. Fugg and Hammertime could be done using the same base body, but with alternate heads. And hands/arms, in the case of Fugg. Slugo would be about the same height, but would need to be a much wider/fatter body. So, he might end up being some manner of deluxe figure. It would make sense to engineer Slugo's figure so that it could possibly be reused for future "big guys" with alternate heads/colorways.
Thanks for checking it out and thanks for your support!
