Yep, I used that same gallery to help put him together. I definitely had a little trouble figuring out how the head area was put together. The piece directly under his head is a claw(I think), and the part holding the antennae and sentinel head together is the black WOM abs piece. I also recommend spinning the chest piece that's on his back upside down, contrary to how it is in the pics. It will make all the head/antennae stuff fit better.

Anyways, here's my Ultimate Cruel and my personal take on classic Cruel.

FWIW, there are some issues with those builds - with Cruel, it's mostly the random use of one black upper arm and one not, but Brutal has his arms put together wrong (compared to previous images John has posted), his extra arms moved down to his treads, and some of the colors misplaced. They were still very helpful in figuring the builds out, though.

Sadly, Brutal is a lot more...improvised?...than Cruel, and his long noodly arms are undone by the looseness of the Monkaa hip pieces. I tried leaving his extra arms up on his shoulders where they look better, and the weight is way too much for him. Still, he does have a unique silhouette, and his head-gun-visor gimmick is great. Feels very Robo Forcey.

And Fuzz, I ended up using the red Monkaa abdomen for the neck region, because the black one is supposedly Brutal's face - I know it's not in those images, but it was in some of the admittedly-random-prototype-colors pictures, and John explicitly said his face is "a blank screen". Plus you can't really see the one on Cruel very well so its color doesn't seem to matter much.

BTW, totally digging the Monkaa forearms/calves as shoulder pads on your smaller Cruel.

Doh, I just realized I used purple for Cruel's arms. Black is the official build color, correct? I've seen John post it both ways on Facebook.

I'm not sure if I'm actually going to build Brutal. I just don't care for his design too much. I have so many extra pieces leftover, I think I may try to come up with some other cool minions for Cruel.

My sets haven't come in yet, but I had already built my own version of Brutal a little while back. I kept the head design (which I really like) and tried to do a multi arm set up that wouldn't look too cluttered. Once the real colors come, I'll replicate it and see if I still like it.

Love what I'm seeing.

There will be some official build pics coming for each of the guys.

:tb-viy: What a day for Robo Force! The box in the mail had some weight to it lol!! It's gonna take me days to build with all of this Robo Force evilness but I started off with a "Soda Can" build for a Classic Cruel! The colors came out amazing and I am so pleased with how everything looks! Thanks Dr. Kent, Cruel is one of your best releases yet!!

:tb-viy: Inspired by Matt's early "Build Kong" Robo Force prototype construction, I give you an homage to Transformers Decepticon "BEASTBOX!!" This build looks great in both "Cruel" colors!! :viyer:

That Beastbox is sweet! Now you just need to build a Squalktalk and combined SqualkBox form. :D

I'm going stir-crazy waiting another 2 weeks to open my Cruel/Brutal. Combine that with a mental backlash on my part from trying to build too much gigantic stuff with the recent Ancient releases and you get these guys!

Did anyone get a shipping notice or anything? I haven't seen an email besides the last and I still haven't received my package.

I shot John an email asking the same, due to some batch loading issue the tracking numbers weren't synced with our existing transactions on Paypal. He gladly sent me mine in his reply email. Last I check my estimated delivery date was today and since we're both in Texas I'd say yours should show up soon like mine. Once I'm off and can confirm delivery I'll let you know mech.

Here's a group shot of my Cruel creations so far. I've always wanted to do a two-headed Robo Force character. The WOM heads are perfect for this. I'm still working on him. I'm thinking of making one side red, one side purple.

Image

I've updated my classic Cruel a little. I moved the chest piece down so his his head sticks out in the front slightly, similar to the original toy. I'm pretty happy with him so far.

Image

And inspired by WTGTIV's awesome mini RF builds, I made Minimus Cruel.

Thanks. In case anyone is interested in how I did it, it's just a large RF torso piece with one of the 3-hole sides on top. Chest pieces on the front and back and the large round pieces as shoulders help hide that the torso piece is not symmetrical in this position.
