About 5 pieces of each style remain on WeLoveFine. If you need an immediate KOTS fix, now is the time to act!

Lime and the 3 Set are sold out.

Any idea on when WeLoveFine will be shipping? I like to think I'm a patient man, but I'm getting pretty antsy about these guys...

I've had two orders of KotS ship from WeLoveFine, and both delivered in under a week.

Rikdom- Thank you for the thoughtful comments. I think you brought up some good points I wanted to address.

I never stopped and thought about this before, but you are right--the line really isn't aimed at collectors. And I'm ok with that.
Allow me to further explain-

I specifically built K.O.T.S. to be marketable to retail buyers. I cannot justify the expense without the support of a retailer. Even with the kickstarter, which gave us a great infusion of cash, only provide a little more than 1/3 of the total cost for production. And if buyers feel they can take a chance on a non-licensed original IP if it is blind bagged, then I am more than happy to accommodate.

In your own comment you made the exact case against collectors. It's a "possible purchase". And I think that's how the majority of hardcore collectors think...they are selective about what lines they get behind (myself included). And because of that, I knew I could not subside on only getting the collector dollar. I needed younger people, folks new to the hobby, and the random foot traffic / impulse purchases a retail spot provides. I think if you dig deeper into the demographics, you'll see adult collectors are a shrinking market. Collectors get married, they downsize their collections, they start families, priorities change...and they buy less toys.

The Hastings order alone is x5 times the amount of product I could sell in a year at conventions and through e-commerce.

I am very thankful for the support of the Glyos community where I can get it. I will continue to honor whatever private requests I get from O.G. Glyos fam to ensure people get the styles they are after (as best I am able), as I have done way back when I was selling 5 pcs of Tankhead resin.

Regarding "local presence", Hastings sell online and ship anywhere in the US. That was part of what made sense about partnering with them, we can all order online. I'm in NYC, there are no Hastings on the east coast...but I can still get the product (in fact I pre-ordered 8 pcs yesterday).

rikdom wrote:
Oh, really? Nice. Good to know.

I missed out on these during the kickstarter as I didn't have enough money at the time to go all in, and if I get one guy, I would want them all. Being able to still get the accessories pushes these guys back into the "possible purchase" category.

On the other hand, blind bags.

I know you guys didn't invent the blind bag, or rare figures, and I can imagine getting these into actual brick and mortar retail may have required it. But, man, is that sort of thing extremely collector unfriendly. Beyond just being great toys, one of the best things about the Glyos system family is the great customer service and the ability to get pretty much anything you want, assuming you have the money at the time. Even if there are convention exclusives, fellow collectors are always willing to mule, and people like Marty have gone out of their way to get leftover con stock into the hands of people that couldn't attend.

But something like a blind bag 1/500 figure that is only available at a store with no local presence? Pretty much no way I am going to be able to get that. I mean, I've made peace with the fact that I'm not going to be able to get everything I want out of any particular line I collect, but if one of the coolest versions of a figure is pretty much off the table at the beginning of the line, that's kind of a warning to stay away and avoid future frustration.

Cappy- should take about a week. I suspect they will be sold out by week's end. Maybe sooner.

I realized most people on here may not have seen the plan for phase 2 of KOTS, the copper soldier armor.
Here's the concept. Of course it's subject to change, but it's a brand extension I'm really looking forward to.

:o That looks AMAZING. Like... WOW. Is there any kind of loose timeframe you'd like to see for release?

Thank you!
No timeframe. If the remainder of KOTS series 1 sells through, that will expedite this project.
Sculpting will begin before the end of the year. Still not sure if it will be a resin release before actually tooling it. Just sort of noodling around the idea.
Also not certain if it will be crowd-funded or just go straight to a limited release.

So if I pre-ordered back in July and haven't seen my set yet, it's time to contact WeLoveFine?

I stopped by my local hastings today. The Toypizza commercial was playing on the speaker saying the KotS figures were at the store, but they didn't have any. They are up for preorder again at their website, though.

Yeah, the website keeps pushing the ship date back. Right now it says Jan 11.

Boom! The Knights have finally hit Hastings. And since my little city in Washington State is very slow to receive toys, other Hastings should have these on the floor by now.

Fun, fun!

Is Moviestop supposed to get these as well, Jesse, as they are also part of the Hastings corps?

Just a heads up, all action figures (including these) are B1G1 1/2 off at Hastings. I haven't checked the website, but they are on sale in store. Also, if you already got Brick, Teal, and Lime, feel around for the bags without the slicer or hat. Those are the clear/gold/etc figures.

Been to every Movie Trading Company and can't find em. Are you sure they're owned by the same company that owns Hastings?

If my quick Wikipedia research is correct, Vintage Stock operates as Movie Trading Company in Texas, which is where Hastings is headquartered, but Hastings is owned by Draw Another Circle, which also owns MovieStop. If I had to guess right now, I'd say they aren't.

Also, a quick try at adding them to my cart does not show that they are on sale using the site.

Curses! Guess I'm gonna make a drive to Waxahachie this weekend.

We have several Vintage Stocks here in Kansas City and I can verify that they do not have any KotS.

I can also verify that you can feel around for no hats or slicers to find the rares. ;)

Nice score Mr. Long!!!

Well spent the day driving to visit the Hastings in Waxahachie. The closest one besides that one is a two hour drive away, so no Knights for me. ;_;

Can I convince one of ya'll who have a local Hastings to pick up a couple for me? Preferable with pizza slicers and hats? I'll pay ya little extra for the trouble.

Mine is all sold out, according to the associate on the phone when my son called last week.

Hit up Matt Long/xanthax, he has a few stores around him and I'm sure he might be able to help you out. ;)

Shipping charges through gohastings.com are pretty reasonable, and they have them in stock.
I really miss the Denton location. I can't believe it wasn't making enough money to stay open with the college crowd in that town.
