"The Serrasalmus Basilisci is a genus of bipedal, amphibious, predatory cryptid, commonly known as Zull Beasts. Though often mistaken to be part of the paraphyletic group of organisms (fish) that consist of all gill-bearing aquatic craniate animals, they are more likely sub-aquatic tetrapods which evolved from the ancient basilisks, evident from their four limbs and digits. Known characteristics of the Zull Beast include petrified scales, multiple rows of serrated incisors, four-digit talons and a wide variation in scale colors. (Shown above is the bluish subspecies, Serrasalmus Basilisci Azurlis.)

Like their biological ancestors, the basilisks, Zull Beasts are known to be voracious feeders. However, these highly venomous carnivores prefer to partially petrify their prey before lacerating the flesh to retain the moisture content of their meal. Aggressive and territorial, Zull Beasts are lone predators and the nature of their reproduction is still a mystery as there have yet to be a live specimen captured and no remains have been discovered. It is hypothesized that Zull Beasts either completely ingest the carcasses or hide the skeletal remains. There remains a sizable bounty for any live or dead specimen in the field of cryptozoology due to the high fatality rate of the past expeditions."
