Hey all,
Here's a catch-all thread for my Glyos compatible builds past & present. Thanks for checking 'em out! :eny6-blast:

Ven's Purist/Custom Build Thread - The Cyberglyan

Cyberglyan

Image

Here's my version of the Cyberglyan. Aside from the base figure form it has a weapons harness that attaches to the sides of the Hub dome. It has three weapon arms with one of each side and the third that can be flipped to the front or back. It works well with the legs to form a "tri-pod" of sorts while the side weapon arms are up in attack mode.

This is the base figure form and the removed weapon harness splayed out. Aside from the Glyan heads, scarves & a good chunk of switch pins the fully equipped Cyberglyan is a contained build utilizing 1x Glyan, 2x Axis Joint set, 2x Swing Joint set & 1x Phase Arm/Gobon Blaster set.

Neo Legion Sentry

The Council or Travelers drop was one of the first few drops that I participated in my early Glyos collecting and to this day is still one of my all-time faves. Along with the mix of colored Travelers (and the identity reveal for one in particular) I really liked Phase Defender contained build. For a time I wanted to make another guard-type build using the Neo Legion color and eventually I came up with this one here. From what I remember it's pretty close to being contained other than the some leftover switch pins and the use of scarves. As much as I liked it, this build wasn't exactly what I was looking for.

The build I had in mind needed to be taller and although I like the challenge of contained builds I decided to take the chains off to see what I could come up with.

Hopefully I captured all the angles to show the structure on the build. Aside from being a bit top heavy the biggest issue for me was getting the hips to hold snug to prevent it from toppling over.

Big Mech Build

Definitely the biggest build I've come up with, this transforming mech used parts from just about every Glyos compatible figure at that time. Here's pics of it including some showing the transformation and the opening chest "gimmick" that's sort of like the Guyver's chest cannon.

I decided to thumbnail these with links that way they can be enlarged more if viewed through my Flickr.

Axis Infused Warlord Villser

The intent for this build was to use the axis joint sets to bulk up the Warlord Villser. A fav Doughty build of mine is the Velstryker Argen so I used that as a direction I wanted to explore. The Warlord came with a matching Hub set configured into the Hub Hammer which I had already used to make a Miniborg. I wanted to keep the Miniborg as a companion if possible which would free him up to become the hammer if necessary. Long story short, after finally settling on the structure of the legs I was able to split up the rest of the parts for use as either arms or the skeletal wings. Using some small axis ball halves worked out pretty great so the wings can be posed rested or stretched out. Thanks for checking it out.

Rift Killer Rex - Enhanced Armor & Mantis Mode

As usual, when I get a new Glyos compatible figure in hand it's hard to resist building with it. RK Rex was no exception thanks to the Xulturri Evolver Set clear yellow being a pretty spot-on if not exact match. I used most of two Axis joint sets plus a few Noboto parts to build/bulk up the limbs. But what's Mantis Mode?
Image Image

Well, what started off as just messing around with leftover parts ended with these two mantis-like arm extensions. Once I swapped out the RK forearms with these Mantis Mode was in full effect! I like how they came out but I was definitely most pleased that I found a way to work the RK legs back in to the build because their sculpt is so damn cool. As far as what Mantis Mode is I'd say in general it's a fight/attack upgrade that the armor can morph into but I also like the idea that Rex goes into full kung fu fighter mode once he kicks it on.

These are such killer builds! I'm gonna have to give them a whirl with my Rift Rex as well.

Maybe I'm a bit colorblind, I thought that the this figure was more green, I was likening it to either Phase Green or Oozarian, which would make sense if it is indeed more yellow tinted since I've noticed the oozarian is a bit more of a yellow-green.

Thanks for the kind words about the builds!

As for RK Rex, I thought along the same line that the PVC was greenish. There's some green tint in there that comes out depending on the lighting because it's a neon yellow, kinda like how highlighter yellow has that faint greenish tint to it for instance. I don't have much in phase green anymore other than Biophase Pheyden but here's a few side by side comparison shots with and without flash.
